  About Graham Kendall

Graham is a seasoned communications professional with indepth experience in all aspects of strategic communications and a track record of success. He has a wealth of in-house and consultancy communications experience at the highest levels in government, the public and third sectors as well as commercial organisations.

Since launching as an independent consultant in 2007, he has advised a range of organisations across healthcare including the DH, NHS trusts and independent sector providers as well as commercial and not-for-profit organisations. He specialises in providing advice to organisations that are looking to develop their services and products in highly regulated environments such as the UK health market.

Graham graduated from Cambridge University in 1993 having read medicine and then social and political sciences. He advised George Howarth MP in opposition and then as a Home Office Minister as part of Jack Straw’s team, covering diverse policy areas including prisons, drugs, emergency planning, fire and licensing policy.

In 1998 he joined a leading global public affairs and strategic communications consultancy, where he focused on health and leisure as well as heading their online communications practice. He advised a range of national and global organisations on campaigns which successfully changed legislation and were recognised by industry awards.

Graham joined the NHS Confederation in 2003 to lead on strategic relationships with industry. As head of the commercial relations team, he worked across both the NHS Confederation and NHS Employers, where he delivered high levels of year-on-year growth in income and commercial membership.

Graham is a certified Master Practitioner in NLP and uses this when coaching clients.

He is currently a member of the editorial board of Healthcare Market News, and until 2007 sat in a non-executive capacity on Cambridge University Careers Service Syndicate, the governing board of the University's Careers Service.

Graham enjoys playing the saxophone and is an accomplished marathon and fell-runner. He is married with three children.
